The Byron Company

I have had a really positive experience renting with Byron company. I have been here for eight months. It is a beautiful apartment with everything I was looking for. I am coming from living in cities with high rent and low quality housing situations, so given my background this was a dream. In my experience maintenance has been really responsive and helpful, they fix most things within a day. Buildings are old so things need to be fixed everyone once in a while, but again they are so responsive. I also locked myself out once on a weekend and someone came to let me in free of charge. I was honestly surprised to see so many negative reviews here, so I wanted to share my perspective.

Good location but the maintenance is a serious issue . Not only do they come in unannounced but unlike it states in the faq that they will knock loudly multiple times , they do not. they come in and talk too quietly to even cut through quiet speakers in a bedroom. This to me is ridiculous and there is no reason we cant just receive a call beforehand.

I lived alone on Waterman Blvd for 3 years. It was my first apartment and it was a great experience. I never had any issues with The Byron Company or maintenance. Brian especially was great. He was typically who took care of any problems that arose. Great man and a great friend! I loved that any issues i had, they were taken care of either the next day or in the following days. Never took them long and I felt that they cared. They do well with communicating and preparing you if they will need to be entering your apartment for necessary or routine maintenance either through emails or signs. I felt safe and at home in my apartment. Overall my experience was amazing, the only complaint I can think of is I wish there was an emergency line or someone to help 24/7. There were a few instances I lost my key or locked myself out of my apartment over the weekends or late at night and no one at the Byron Company was available til Monday morning during regular business hours. Someone to help 24/7 would greatly help any future tenants! Thank you Byron Company. -Smiles :)
