SSM Health Physical Therapy - Lemay

I was born with orthopedic hip issues. First surgery was done in 1986. With age, more events have happened that also impact muscles/tendons/ligaments. Latest episode has lasted 7 months. A PMR physician recommended aqua therapy at SSM. After just one week/2 sessions, I can feel improvement and have hope, once again.

I have recently been going to physical therapy at the Lemay location because they have aquatic therapy available. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean and well equipped with pretty much anything they need to help you achieve your goals. The therapy pool is kept at a great just-above-body-temp warmth that helps loosen up those muscles and joints youre there to work on. Ive never used aquatic therapy before and I assume it would be called low impact because when I walk out of my session, I dont feel like Ive overworked anything or beat my body up. I actually feel relief after. For me, its been incredible! Such a game changer!

The SMS therapy center has been great for my injured arm. Joelle is a fantastic PT. She works with you to set tough goals then provides activities to help you meet your goals. She is an amazing PT because she is patient and kind - but also pushes you to your limit (which is a good thing). I am so lucky that I have Joelle as a PT because she proves that she cares about your recovery with every visit! Thank you, Joelle, for all of your advice and guidance in helping my arm and shoulder recover!
