Where do I start, this building has a stank about it as soon as you walk in the facility. The staff are not friendly to the patient nor their guests. The building itself needs repairs!! The staff dont answer the call button!!

My mother was a (I lack to say a patient because patients receive care). She has instructions taped (when it didn't fall on the floor ) to the wall behind her bed. However the so called care givers should know what her instructions are.I have reached out twice to the site administrator. And just like the care given there was no answer or communication. This place needs to be taken of medicare 4 star recommendations is ridiculous.

The kind of 4 Star alleged care they claim to give is not true They only give a shower maybe once a week (if that) The food is dog food The CNA & Nurses are sooo unprofessional in every way imaginable. It smells like a piss factory in there and they have the nerve to spray air freshener to mask it instead of cleaning and disinfecting the whole place I wouldnt send my dead dog to this place

Called after they moved my husband to a new room without telling me. He's been in there 1 month & NO ONE called me, current plan, future plan or an eta release date. I'm 65 I assume they think older=braindead. So they bypassed me & went to my daughter when I have POA & not a thing gets done unless I approve. So I called so many times it was laughable. I requested his room number, then demanded. They had the nerve to say they didn't know if I was his wife yet told me his history!!!!! I offered to send a copy of our marriage license & my POA. Furious is not even word for the ANGER I felt at that moment. So I got hold of the DIRECTOR WHO BASICALLY BLEW ME OFF BY STATING HE WOULD CALL ME AT 10:30am the next day with everyone who treats him present so we could have a game plan which I was to be well informed after. 10:30 came around, director called & said he would have to put it off. I said okay. Waited all day for the phone call. Never called me. I called the head nurse at 2pm, she couldn't get him no one knew where he was blah, blah, blah. Now I'm calling every 30 min trying to reach him until they said he left at 4pm. All week since moving him the phone in my husband's room was never plugged up. So didn't get to talk to either one. I was so pissed off I was shaking. Called nurse & threatened her to get in the room & fix what ever is wrong. Spoke finally to husband to try & see if he could talk sense enough to tell me if he was okay. (Parkinson's) What was going on & his therapist happened to be in his room who used to be the director. Mike was wonderful & has been working with him since day one he was admitted. He updated me on the plan in progress, future plan, & a basic eta for coming home. It all depends on him & his body. Okay. Now I'm calmed down & feel better. Give Mike the therapist 5 stars for really knowing his business, not hanging up on me as mad as I was & for going out of his way to give me every little explanation of medical terminology of husbands condition/progress as if I was smart enough to understand. That's what an education is for. I care for been in the medical fIeld our handicapped daughter is at home who has been thru so much. Needless to say I wear many hats. I just got over cancer myself & so travel is a off. My sister in law goes to make sure they are doing all that was promised before he was admitted. She says they're clean, does not smell. Not enough nurses & the ones there are mostly passing the buck. Lazy? Since I have been medical, that director picked on the wrong person. If I hadn't talked to Mike the therapist I would have reported them to Medicare, director of insurance, CMS, medical licensing bureau etc, each would be on their doorstep auditing by now for the last ten years. I know who to call to wreak havoc when fraud is being perpetrated. They would not dig out for a year & it might have resulted in closing down because all payments are withheld until investigations COMPLETED. I would have reported ALL of his bills NOT be paid until it is determined they are doing what they are being paid to do is how you demand the right care for your loved one. You are your loved ones best advocate, don't let nursing homes do you this way but more importantly your loved one. Simple communication is all it takes. I'm usually nice & try to build a repore' first. Older people may not be treated this way resulting in poor care of the patients. If we just stand up we can take action that results in better care that is necessary & a good performance from the staff. Stand up. Speak your mind. Stop payment if you are not kept up to date. Don't let them treat either one of you like garbage. If the facility isn't cooperating move them to a better place. Thank you.
