Im going to give 5 starts, because the system breakdown is not with United Way or the call centers, it's with the resources to which oine is referred, sadly. And I'm going to be homeless as well. I'm trying to find a way to come to peace with it and accept it, because I cannot fix the issue. From a United Way referral was Legal Services Springfield. They in turn referred me to another office, who referred me to another, then another until I was referred back to the original office. I contactd the Attorney Gerneral's Ofice, who referred me to the Governor's Constituent Services Office, who referred me to Health and Senior Services, who Hotlined me to Adult Protective Services. Jo Carol from the local office, following up for the Hotline said I did not qualify for services, that I communicated well and could protect my own intrests. I'm on the verge of losing everything, and she says I can protect my own interests? I fail to see the connection? I was selling some property I own in ordrer to generate funds to live on for a bit. Twioold liens of which I was unaware (they['re not even on MO Department of Revenue's web site) killed the sale. April will be the 3rd month of arrears for the apartment and vehicle. I'm doomed. I am done for. I can't get information and documentation from DOR. For 3 weeks they reused to answer my emails. And I can't do anything to change it. They tell me one figure verbally but IO can't gt the documetation they sent me to add up to it. I also have a hear issue, vision issues no income, no health insurance. A phone call with DOR overran a Medicaid appointment I had. But the Department of Revnue ignores questions about hardship. I can't do this by myself, but I can't stop it from happening. And I am 60 years old. I was 2 yearws from retiring at reduced benefit, sure. I hoped to put a small trailer on that property I sold. It would not be high living, but I'd hae what I needed. That's been shot out from under me now. I cant even look for another job. I wont have a vejhicle to drive to work. If work at home, I won't have a home soon.. Even if I were to get one tomorrow, the arrears are too high to catch up fast, and with eviction and repossession, too far into the process. Any first paycheck would not be received in time. There's no winning this for me now or coming out of it in any good shape. Juyst oiver 10 years ago a fire took everything I owned. I rebuilt. Now that is being taken away.

Ive been calling this place for 3 days for help with a place for my 6 year old grandson and myself to stay . I did a call back and when someone calls me back I tell them all my information they say they are gonna transfer me just to hang up on me and this has literally been going on Allll day. I just need some help and I thought this was the place to call and now its 4:38 pm so now we are homeless another Day and I have been calling these people for 3 days. Like who else do I call and the people are rude and I was only getting information because Im running out of options and need a little guidance on people that can help us . Apparently this place dont no what it is or how it feels to be homeless . This is no way to treat people in need .This Is Day4 August 16th 2023 They said call at 7 but it doesnt open til 9 Ive been calling allll day for Diane, Dillian, Bernice Valerie Kevin Mesha and All these People to hand up on me when transferred then I gotta repeat the process . I probably need to speak to a Manager I didnt no you get treated this way by calling in dire need or should I email the Governor to let him no how rude some of these folks thats working for United Way . Its like they really dont want to talk to you and hurry you up off the phone with very little info and this the place I was told to call. Not professional at at We are human being and we Demand to be treated with Dignity and Trust me I dont Look like what Im going thru by a long shot Homeless doesnt always look the part but thats whats been in my path and I never thought I would be here and Im looking for assistance I will be emailing the powers to be in the Am . I will be the Voice for the People at the bottom thats been treated disrespectful and horrible I understand the situation of being homeless and no where to Turn God Bless us Keep the Faith and Trust God will guide us Amen
