This poor review is for the So. Lindbergh location only! The Affton location is super!! Wish I could rate this place higher. I used to love it. Went here a lot. But the food has been going downhill the last few years. Recently, my brother was back in town, and we stopped for a quick early dinner. I was so embarrassed I took him there. He just retired from the restaurant business and knows good Italian food. But we didnt have time to head to the Hill. How bad could this be? But even I could see this was bad. The salad had a lot of yellow iceberg and his chicken parm looked (and tasted like) thin breaded cardboard. The creamy pasta side was gluey. We were in a hurry and didnt have time to send it back for a redo. The only saving grace - a terrific young man who waited on us. I should have known better. My whole extended family has actually switched to the Affton location for quite a while now. We were just in a hurry this time and this location was closer. The Affton location is a smaller place but so superior in food quality and service. So, if youre in the mood for a Pasta House, Affton or Town and Country are better options than the Lindbergh location. Similar and also fine is Rich and Charlies in Crestwood. For a little nicer experience, Bartolinos or Robertos on Lindbergh is good.

I had lunch with friends. I ordered the meatballs and garlic cheese bread. It all was very good, and the wait person, Caytlen, was great.
