This place is immaculate. First time I step in to the store, everything looks perfect. From the show cases, diamonds, gold, antiques, coins everything that you possibly imagined they have it all. My friends and I were treated well. They are very friendly couldnt ask for a better service. I would highly recommend the store not only because of the great selections they have in store but we were happy and satisfied with their help and service.

Went in not knowing what to expect, ended up speaking to Al - All I can say is that this man understands karma; kindness, fairness and integrity. It was an unexpected experience I will not forget, (which Im sure he knows!) - That is how you do good business as you know it will come full circle later when customers leave feeling taken care of.

Super shady business looking to rip you off. I own a small fine jewelry business, so the purpose of my visit was to check their inventory, get some ideas, check out their prices, and maybe get a couple of pieces if it felt right. IThe first piece I looked at outside of the case was a very small diamond pendant that was honestly extremely basic, nothing special. I just wanted to see their price. The lady brings it to a man in the corner who pulls an outrageous number out of his head$500!! For a 0.27ct diamond on a very thin maybe 14k gold prong setting, like 0.01g of gold!! Im used to negotiating prices for everything in jewelry, I buy real gemstones all the time to make pieces, I asked him if that was the lowest he would go because $500 is outrageous. He flipped out on me telling me this is America and the diamond is primo. He told me I could go to Kay jewelers and spend $1000 for that pendant (wow!) I knew right then what kind of business they are running. Save your time and money and go somewhere respectable, especially if youre not familiar with the cost of jewelry. EDIT in response to their reply on my review. I was in no way disrespectful. The two other representatives who were helping me would tell you that it was a very normal and respectful interaction up until I was presumed to be a fool by the man who I assume is the one who responded to my review. The price is up to him, however, jewelry sellers like him are the reason that people have such high distrust in our industry. He didnt open the conversation to negotiation at all, he told me to leave and buy it from Kay Jewelers for double the price and told me I didnt know what I was looking at because this diamond was primo. He couldnt tell me any other factual details about the diamond to prove it was primo (whatever that means). I told him theres no report for the diamond or anything and he told me to pay over $200 to get the report from GIA myself to prove it. It could have even been a lab grown diamond for all I know, I didnt have my loupe on me to see. So it means to me that hes making up numbers off the top of his head with no information to back his price points. After I wrote this review, I told my dad about the experience I had and he told me that some years ago and he went to look at some stuff for my mom and he had to leave because of the poor treatment he also received from the owner. Again, save your time and money and shop somewhere else.

I cant believe the way I was treated at this establishment by the older man working there. I arrived with 2 gold items I had inherited recently. I believe these pieces to have low monetary value and honestly hoped that was in fact the case. I want to keep them for their high sentimental value but need to document their low monetary value to show to family members that I did not inherit valuable pieces. The man belittled me, interrupted and spoke over me, wouldnt even let me ask if he could point me in the direction of someone who can help me. He just kept repeating that he wanted nothing to do with the pieces and raised his voice at me when I would attempt to speak (in front of my two small children nonetheless). I understand from a business perspective not having interest in certain items but I cannot understand the need to be so rude and condescending. After all, kindness costs nothing yet apparently they still cannot afford it here. Edited to respond: Clearly the owners response proves that they do NOT LISTEN to their customers because to reiterate, I had no interest in selling the pieces, I was simply looking for what it was worth or guidance on how to obtain such information. Also they told me it was 9k gold with a brief glance with no testing. I dont even remember the owner picking it up before telling me that. Another store happily acid tested it and weighed it for me before informing me of a value. I was just looking for a second opinion. Proof is in the pudding, just look at the dozens of other reviews that complain about rudeness.

when the young lady came into the store earlier today she brought in some pearls that we explained to her that her pearls where dyed and not natural pearls that they were cultured pearls and that they didn't have a lot of value she didn't understand and got upset we can't please everybody but here at jewels on Hampton we give dignity and respect

this review is outrageous she came in the store very disrespectful with her nose in the air as if we were a pawn shop we are a fine jewelry store we give very good prices on our merchandise and we do negotiate on merchandise when we feel when a customer is trying to find a sleeper like we don't know what we have are customers we treat with dignity and respect when they buy or sell

when the young lady came in we explained to her that we wouldn't give her an evaluation on her merchandise because it was 9kt gold and we do not except that kind of gold she told us that a another place offered her 1500 dollars and we told her she needs to go back to that store and get the money for it but we do not buy 9kt gold
