Heartland Hospice

Sadly, I write this review so others dont have to deal with what we did. My father passed away under this hospice company. We wanted him at home and comfortable and that was the most important thing. Jill was our initial rep and she said we would be 100% supported by a team of hospice staff visiting a few times a week and more if needed. To make a long story short -- they dropped the ball everywhere possible. No return calls after multiple attempts reaching out to them. People showing up in our driveway to bathe my dad with no call or prior warning. If you are caring for a loved one you know how challenging this is. Nurses coming on the wrong day. Techs not showing up at all. They even neglected to count my dads pills and we RAN OUT of his medication. I will say the actual people who showed up were fantastic. Sam, our nurse, was wonderful and very caring. But the implementation of the services is HORRIBLE. God forbid we end up in this situation with another relative, we will not be using them. It is also worth noting the good reviews are under Heartland -- they are now owned by ProMedica. I wish we would have noticed the good reviews belong to a different company.

Angels work at Heartland Hospice. They helped me and my family carry so much the last few months. They made sure that we were heard and had an overwhelming amount of support. I never felt alone when they came into our lives. The time they spent with us will always be special to me. Clem and Gia especially hold a place in my heart. Thank you for everything.

Heartland Hospice was amazing in every way. They made what would have been a most difficult time manageable. My husband of 57 years, father of my two daughter and four grandchildren was so loved by his family and they made his passing so much easier for him and for us. I cannot say enough about Nurse Dee who stayed right with us no matter the time of day or night. To each and everyone of you, thank you for your sincere love and caring for your profession. You will never know how much you are truly appreciated at the most trying and saddest time of our lives, losing the one you love so very much and the comfort you bring at this most difficult of times.
