office cancelled my appointment, did not call back to re-schedule. When I did, was informed the office is only open on Fridays?..Don't recommend, find a new dentist!

Have been taking my teenager here for a few years now. At first it was great, but now it's just awful. The staff is friendly, but they consistently cancel our appointments with practically zero notice (almost always the day before the appointment). When we try to re-book the schedule is always so full that we end up having to push the appointment anywhere between several weeks, to several months. The receptionist told us it's because their office doesn't actually have a dentist on staff! (I guess they're rotating doctors in from other offices?). Because of our dental coverage, we are limited to which dental practice we can use, otherwise I absolutely would go elsewhere.

I was bribed for giving a 5 star review. They gave me a disposable whitening tray with teeth whitener. They charged me for fluoride without asking, they never gave me fluoride. And I went up there and I complained because I had to pay for it and they told me they would take it off. When I got my statement in the mail, it was still on there. They are also not fixing my actual cavities. They are fixing the teeth around them. I have one tooth full that is worse now, because they keep deciding not to fix that one. Also, this place closed its doors and will be permanently closed within the next coming weeks. I wonder why?? My dad left this place because he felt like they were just after money and I 100% see that and believe that now

Thought this was a great place until I received a statement balance from them 9 months after my last appointment stating that I owed them more money. After each appt, I discussed the billing with staff and payed whatever out of pocket cost was left behind after insurance coverage. I made sure to clarify with staff that all payment had been made and there would not be a remaining balance. Not sure why they are saying I owe them more money and it is extremely difficult to get in contact with them now that their hours have shifted to one day per week.

Be careful with your dental care. Nine months ago I was told at Melville Modern Dentistry I had two cavities. One costing in the $800 range (with insurance) to fill. This week I went to a different dental practice and was told I had only one cavity. The $800 cavity was no where to be found. I did not have the dentist at Melville Modern Dentisry do work on my cavities (cavity!). Be careful with your dental care.
