I have a contract with Anthony & Squalu construction, and he has not returned my calls, texts, or emails now for over a week, and he has not done any substantial work for months.  He failed to find a plumber for the work I had contracted with him, so i hired one and paid for it myself.  That is the only work that has been done since March.  I tried to be flexible and work with him as much as possible, but now he has completely let me down.  Some of the only work they did complete was rebuilding our basement stairs, but the measurements are off and won't pass inspection, so we need to rip those out and rebuild them.  My experience with them has been extremely disappointing and I would not recommend them.

UPDATE: just additional on this, Anthony finally responded to me, but only briefly and it wasn't fruitful. He's stopped responding again, and we now have to take legal action. Also, the pictures he is using on his website are of our basement, which he didn't finish. And that is just amazing to us, he is advertising a project that was a failure! I have a contract with Anthony. He is two months late on the project of finishing my basement, even after I found and paid for a plumber when he could not. Now he has failed to show up, and is avoiding my calls, texts, and emails. I believe he has walked away from our contract entirely. Do not trust Anthony or squalu construction
