23 West Coffee

Love this coffee shop, one of my favs. But service needs improvement.

I really like this place the ambiance and coffee are great I really want to give it 5. The cashier was very nice and knowledgeable when we ordered although most the pastries were sold out by 11:30am we enjoyed our coffees regardless. When my name was called I went to get the drinks at the bar I let the barista know that one of my drinks wasnt make correctly. She gave me push back and insisted that it was. Im sorry but if Im paying for a service I expect for it to be made the way I prefer and paid for it to be made not the way someone thinks is best or the way they want to make. If the cashier had told me that my drinks wasnt doable it would be different I would have ordered something else. The barista lacks some major customer service skills for being in a job that has do 100% with customers! I tipped 22% for service I didnt receive. We got our own drinks at the bar and took our cups and plates at the back. Not sure what what the tip was.

Bright "urban" styled coffee shop. Recent arrival to growing scene that is Webster Groves. Came by after 8am one morning last week, and they weren't open, which seemed weird considering it's a Coffee Shop. Good wifi, good place to hole up and get some work done. Definitely a 9 in the Bouge-ometer. Will continue to prefer Webster Cafe...which is pretty much the antithesis of 23W.
