I Called & made an appointment on 2/6/2024 to drop my Mercedes off 3/5/2024 to get an oil leak fixed. I called to confirm the day before & there was no record of my appointment being recorded so I was told to just drop it off with the key, some info & I would get a call back. I had it towed because I have a few cracked rims, but the car runs fine with no warning lights on the dash. The car started great as it always has. I partiallly drove it on the flatbed tow truck & they used a winch to pull it on the rest of the way for safety reasons. I started it & drove it completely off the tow truck to back it in & parked it when I got to Reid Vann. I Dropped off the key & didn't find any envelopes so I called the next morning with more info. @10:40 a.m. A service tech answered & immediately transferred me to Scott, the manager. Rudely, he told me they won't service my car because it had a few flats & out dated plates which had nothing to do with an oil leak. No problem at alll.... I arranged a 2nd tow truck to pick it up after work in which they would be closed for business after the 6pm hour. I got there & my car was unlocked, dead & wouldn't start to put it in gear for the tow. The tow truck driver tried a jump box & still ABSOLUTELY NO POWER which is strange because the battery is less than 6 months old. The car was parked in a totally different parking spot, in a different row/ section of the lot & was pulled in forward.... I originally parked at the end of the lot away from all cars, so if service was refused, why move the car at all??? Now I have to get certified technicians to go over why it won't suddenly start without any prior warning signs. Scott called me the next day insulting my vehicle & insisting I get it removed from the lot OR ELSE! THANKS FOR HAVING ME WASTE MONEY ON 3 TOWES. THATS REAL 1ST CLASS CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM A SUPPPOSED TO BE 1ST CLASS REPAIR SHOP.

Hal and Scott are friendly, responsive and professional. I usually maintain cars by myself. I recently made a mistake when replacing rear shock absorbers and stripped a bolt hole. Tom, the technician at Reid Vann, helped me fix the problem at a reasonable price without replacing the whole wheel carrier. Thank you all!

Poor communication from Scott, the manager of Reid Vann, and no intent to remedy a relatively minor situation. I was quoted $650 for a drivetrain service over the phone on a 2018 Audi Q7 3.0T, a vehicle they should be very familiar with. While scheduling the service via email, I provided the VIN so Scott could order the correct Transmission filter and was given a drop off date. I inquired about a different service date and received no response. I dropped the vehicle off on the original stated service date and I was given a new estimate of $1,500 once they entered the VIN and realized that the service was much more in depth than Scott had originally thought (hence the $650 to $1,500) #baitandswitch. Scott had every opportunity to run the VIN and give me an accurate estimate over the phone, or later once the VIN was received in Email. Or even order the filter in preparation for the service. But he waited until I was inconvenienced by driving 2 cars 37 miles to their shop to check the VIN and provide an accurate service cost, 2.5 times the original quoted estimate. Scott essentially denied ever quoting $650 for the the service and refused to accept any responsibility for the cost difference. I told him to service the car this time for the full price but that I wouldn't return to Reid Vann due to his incompetence. Offended, Scott declined to service the vehicle and told me to pick it up, unserviced, when possible. So my wife and I drive to 37 miles , one way, back to Reid Vann to pick up the car. I'll just go to the dealer from now on. At least the prices will provide someone with integrity, oversight, and the desire to resolve minor issues. It's a shame, because I was also considering having Reid Vann flash the car to APR Stage 1 while it was there. Sorry for the lengthy review, stand by because Scott's elementary response should be one for the books. #baitandswitch #MOattorneygeneral #APR
