First Kids Early Childhood Center

I see the poor kids there everyday standing looking out of the bars of the caged area on the fast moving parking lot. I have never seen anyone watching them or playing with them. There are plenty of great daycares and preschools. This is not one of them.

As someone who works for DESE, it took me years to find a place that I trusted with my children. After researching and touring many facilities, we decided that First Kids was our place. We made the best decision! We absolutely love the staff at First Kids. The love, compassion, and care they take with my children daily does not go unnoticed. I never question that my children are not safe and loved. My son is more than ready for kindergarten, which gives him the confidence he will need in elementary. My youngest has special needs (spina bifida) and is always treated with the same love and care as all the other children. I love that they are so knowledgable. And trust me, I don't take instruction lightly! I am not easy to please. My sons therapists even have pulled him out for therapy and all mention how pleased they are with the facility and how wonderful the instruction plans are. We are talking occupational therapist, speech language pathologist, and physical therapist-- it takes a lot for them to say that! With a medically fragile child I was worried about cleanliness, illness, and safety and we have not had a single issue! If you give this place a chance, you will fall in love! Also I would like to note- I have driven by the playground multiple times throughout the day, when dropping off a forgotten lunch and such, and I've never seen children looking miserable, sad or the like. My 2 year old walks with a reverse walker (very slowly) and has never had a single instance where I questioned his safety in that parking lot. People are courteous and drive quite slow in the area. I'm thankful that they have those fences up for security reasons, it allows children to understand boundaries and keeps them safe! And the parking lot being driven in fast (especially with the slight incline into it) would destroy your front bumper/undercarriage.

My kids and I love First Kids! My oldest (now in first grade) completed Pre-K in 2018 and left there ready and excited for kindergarten. Now my youngest is in the newly renovated space in the classroom for two year olds and she loves to go to "school." There is a routine each day that includes plenty of guided free play and also times for group learning, craft, indoor or outdoor physical activity depending on the weather, and of course lunch and snack and nap. She loves her teachers and her friends and has learned so many little songs and is even picking up letter recognition already. Not sure what another comment meant about the playground - of course the playground has a fence for safety, but the playground isn't visible from anywhere but the church parking lot or the easement drive and I've never noticed the drivers being anything but courteous and respectful of the kids coming and going. I also want to say that they take security very seriously - no one in the building unless they have an entry code. Excellent experience with this school.

I am extremely satisfied with First Kids and their services. I have utilized the preschool for over twenty-five years. My youngest child attended and both my grandchildren have attended at different stages of the preschool. I have seen nothing but growth, not only in the children but in the school. The classrooms are up to date as well as the curriculum, my grand daughter just turned four and is already in a computer class. I would highly recommend First Kids to any one looking for loving care for there children because they will get nothing less. Its exciting when you watch a child jump out of bed and say Ive got preschool today.

We love First Kids! We cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff, the care, and the nurturing our child gets in a safe and secure environment that matches our values and standards. The new facility is safe, clean, and just beautiful. Our daughter actually gets upset on the days she doesn't get to go! The teachers and director love what they do and have a genuine care for all the kids there-past and present. Would recommend to anyone!
