Wingate by Wyndham St. Louis Airport

After reading lots of online reviews we opted for this hotel due to it's close location to the airport and a complimentary airport shuttle. Biggest complaint: when checking the bed for bedbugs we discovered body stains on the mattress cover and multiple hairs. Called front desk to request fresh bedding. After waiting 20+ minutes called again to check on status of fresh bedding, and then 5 minutes later received fresh set. Furniture and carpet had some visible stains but overall room was as clean as it could be with older carpet/furniture. Bathroom was clean and as another review mentioned, it does take a long time for hot water to eventually arrive in the bathroom sink (but it does eventually). Hot water was quick to arrive for shower. Staff was friendly, and early morning shuttle was on time. Our flight was too early for us to enjoy complimentary breakfast, but did they have instant oatmeal, fresh fruit, and yogurts available for early morning travelers. Pool was outdoors so we were unable to use due to cold weather, and BBQ restaurant next door said it was closed online, but did appear to be open when we walked by later (so worth checking in person if it says they are closed online). Based on online reviews of other airport hotels, we would probably still opt to stay at this location again as the surrounding hotels don't have great online reviews and once we changed the bedding the room was comfortable enough.
