I was very satisfied with the installation by the technician that installed our new heating and ac system. They were very courteous and helpful in explaining the new system and were more than willing to answer any questions that we had concerning the operation of the new system.
I would diffenently recommend Steves Heating and Cooling as an honest and reputable company.
Josh the tech that came out to service our old heating system was very helpful and no pressure to buy their heating and air conditioning system as our old system was approaching 30 years old and getting where we had to have a service tech out every year with some type of problem . We've used them for years. Always prompt and reliable, no up-selling, just good solid service at a reasonable price. Their name was on the system when we moved in, so we figured that we should just keep using them for continuity of care and service.
Last summer, they replaced our outside condenser unit...why do they always break when it's the most extreme? SMH.
UPDATE 17 Feb 2023:
Josh and David just left after saving our (frozen) bacon. Yesterday, my wife said, "Why is it so cold in here?" Looking at the thermostat, it said 65F. So, I punched the ancient buttons trying to get some response. None. Down to the basement...none of the normal noises were coming from the system. I flipped the switch a time or 2, and now with the pungent odor of some interior electricals burning, decided to just call Steve's...the number was right there, after all.
Shaun picked up the phone, dispatched Josh to the scene, and within a couple of hours we had a differential diagnosis: Controller board was burned up...no bueno. He pointed out the issue, and emphasized the potential of a carbon monoxide leak due to significant rusting inside the 18 year old unit. Josh gave me the options: replace the controller board, or, since the furnace was now old enough to vote, go for a replacement. Since dying of CO poisoning was rather low on my list of weekend plans, we opted to replace.
All night long, the temperature kept dropping....63 degrees. 60...57...55...We wore hats and mufflers to bed. Upon waking up this morning, the temperature had plunged to 53 degrees. Our poor mongrel Rusty snuggled deep into a blanket hidey-hole, and Ginger the cat was puffed up like she was gearing for a fight to stay warm.
SALVATION:
Then our saviors came...Josh and David arrived promptly at their appointed hour, tool bags and a big box o'furnace in hand. Within 2 hours and a bit, we had a new system, an updated thermostat (with numbers big enough to see without my cheaters), and - best of all - feeling coming back into our fingers and toes. The emergency fund is a lot lighter, but that's we have it (thanks Dave Ramsey). Josh was even kind enough to waive the $99 service call he made yesterday.
Steve's is THE place to go for your HVAC needs. They've been hustling around fixing people just like us the past few days, and have earned their long weekend. But, if you need quick response, Shaun and Wendy and the whole Steve's Team are just a phone call away.
