This is a review that was sent to our business email. A few months ago I started acupuncture with Dr. Rickels, even though I have a fear of needles & honestly I thought it was a little weird. I went with an open mind & as a last resort before going to a Rheumatologist & beginning years of testing to find out which autoimmune disease they thought I had & to be honest, I wouldnt have used the drugs they treat most of the muscle diseases with. That would have brought on another whole host of issues in itself. I had severe muscle spasms for a year before starting acupuncture. I couldnt even do simple tasks like making coffee without spasms in my arms. The spasms started in my hips & eventually went all over my body. I was miserable. The acupuncture has been amazing for me! I got relief from the very first visit & continue to enjoy the results after each session.My body feels better than it has in a long time. Dr. Rickels is the most caring, compassionate, honest, humble, intelligent & intuitive doctors I have ever been too, with a great sense of humor I might add! I enjoy every appointment. I have learned so much about my body, realizing you cannot treat just one part of the body. The mind is a powerful thing & I am now able to control most spasms through deep breathing, stretching & a mixture of acupuncture & adjustments. The acupuncture leaves my mind & body so very relaxed. Its crazy! I dont understand it all, but the energy in our body is very real. I just know I will forever be in Dr. Rickels debt! She is a great healer! Thank you Dr. Rickels for giving me my life back to hike & kayak & do the things I love to do & the things I need to do.

I was a skeptic, but not anymore. I had back pain and spinal problems resulting from a previous ankle injury, Dr. Rickels evaluated me, then prescribed a treatment plan. Over several weeks, she has adjusted me back to where I should be, resulting in a huge reduction in pain. Everyone in the office is extremely helpful and friendly. I wish I had tried this years ago.
