I requested that they investigate an electrical issue with my car, and told him what my usual mechanic (who doesn't do electrical) thought it might be. He changed the part successfully and quickly, though his price was slightly high. Up until this point, my review wouldve been 4 stars, but things changed when I called back because we thought the issue wasn't resolved (we were incorrect, as we discovered later). The owner immediately got defensive, saying that maybe i should've scheduled with him for a diagnostic, not just to change a part. My intent never was to have him just change a part, I intended for a diagnostic, I just was giving him all the information I had available. If he would've said "Alright, how about you swing back by and I'll check it out?" we'd have all had a laugh about our mistake, he'd have gotten more business almost immediately (my starter went out that evening) and he'd have potentially gained a new family of customers for years to come. Instead, he got heated and defensive, and now he'll never see another dime from me or my family.
