Replied at bottom. Paid $1600 for them to rip my truck apart and steal my transmission. Took my truck to the Ellisville location because it wouldn't shift. Paid the $1000 deposit for them to remove my transmission for further diagnosis. They quoted me extremely high prices for a rebuild or a new transmission. I declined the work and bought a transmission elsewhere. I needed my transmission back for the core. I was charged another $600 before they would let me have my vehicle. Then was told I should take my truck and just let them have my transmission since it was torn apart. I insisted on leaving my truck until my transmission was returned. It took a call to ATRA and their main office. When I called the main office the manager "wasn't in". Yet 30 min later I get a call my transmission is there. They gave me a random transmission all torn apart missing the data placards verifying my VIN and transmission info. I have no idea what was actually wrong with my transmission but it was good enough for them to keep and get every penny they could before releasing my torn apart truck... Yes I did have to repair my truck myself because I declined your prices. Why is the transmission you gave back missing the Data/VIN placard if it was mine? That was my original transmission. All transmissions have a VIN placard matching the vehicle it originated from. Service: Transmission

On August 22nd, I brought my truck to Allen Transmission on Manchester Road. It was drivable but had high miles and Glen recommended the transmission be rebuilt. He quoted an estimate of $3000. I did not get my truck back till September 27th and the total cost was $5400. Part of the delay was due to a two-week backorder on a part but there were multiple promises made that the truck would be ready on a certain day and the actual time day would be weeks later. On October 25th, the transmission failed to go into 5th gear and threw a CEL. I brought the truck back to Allen Transmission and did not get the truck back till November 22nd with no delays for backorders. The final straw was when Glen told me the truck would be finished on Friday 19th and I made plans around that. When I arrived at the shop to pick up the truck Friday afternoon, work had not been started on the truck. Glen refused to apologize or connect me to his manager. The trucks transmission is still not perfect as it knocks going from 1st to 2nd gear. 66 days, $5400, no opportunity to speak to management, no apology, and still not done correctly.
