Inn At Eagle's Nest

There was no management on site when I stayed a Fri/Sat night. Therefore, there was no coffee or snacks as advertised, which was disappointing. The room I stayed in had a broken window (which they knew about, as there was signage posted not to open it) and could not be closed. As a woman traveling alone with a child, it was disconcerting. It also meant that I was constantly woken up by the train about 100 feet away. The trained blared all night long, jarring me awake repeatedly. The restaurants advertised as being within walking distance were all closed up and there was no microwave or fridge in the room, so we lived on gas station food for 2 days. Overall it was just an unpleasant experience and I didnt feel safe with the absence of management my entire stay and a broken window in my room.

Unfortunately I didnt get to stay here. I arrived around 3pm after traveling 12+ hours & no one was there to check us in. I called the number on the door & no one answered. I left several voicemails & received no call back. We were finally able to track down the owner who didnt know he had anyone checking in & was out of town. We scrambled to find somewhere else to stay that night. He told us he would see if he had availability when he returned the next morning. Luckily the place we stayed at had a cancellation so we were able to extend our stay there and when we called the owner at the Eagles Nest he was bothered that we called his cell phone (which was the only number we could reach someone) to let him know we were no longer needing a room. My aunt who traveled from Colorado was supposed to stay there as well & was never able to get checked in either. Very unprofessional. I highly suggest booking elsewhere. 10/10 do NOT recommend.

We booked through AirBnb. Mandy failed to ever communicate with us as far as checking in. I ended up calling AirBNB, they tried to reach her with no luck. We were left to scramble and find a place an hour before check in time. The little bistro advertised being open, but no one was there all day. While looking for another spot to rent, I stumbled upon a review from last month that Mandy had done the same thing to another couple, and just failed to ever communicate with them. Beware!

Food was still frozen in the middle and the coffee was cold, friendly and attentive staff
