First visit: Everyone was very nice! I had an excellent hygienist. She was very thorough with the exam, cleaning, and X-rays. I was impressed with the newer technology they used. The dentist came in for the follow up and explained a filling I needed and why. My first visit was great. 2nd visit an ok cleaning. 3rd visit they pushed a deep cleaning and I said no. The cleaning they did do was not quality. The 4th visit we were back to the deep cleaning issue. To do a complete was around $500. I asked if they could do one at a time and they said yes. she deep cleaned that area and said she was done. I asked if she was going to clean the rest of my teeth and she said NO! I stated I had come for a complete cleaning and the dentist said there was no use in doing that if I was not going to get a complete full deep cleaning in the 4 areas. He was condescending and asked if I remembered what we had discussed the 3rd visit like I was a child. He acted so concerned but I felt all he was seeing was dollar signs!I told him I wanted all my teeth cleaned. He told the hygienist to do an ultrasound and she did that and did the polish. My teeth felt like nothing had been done. When my hygienist at my old dentist's office in St. Peters(Kevin Killian) cleaned my teeth, she very thoroughly cleaned ALL of them and that was considered their regular cleaning, as it should be! They were awesome and I am tempted to drive 3 hours to go back and have work done there. I walked out, told them to tear up the treatment plan, and that I would never be back! As an addendum to this review, yesterday I spoke with a dental hygienist who has done this for years and she told me that in order to do a deep cleaning, the area had to be numbed because of the extent of the procedure to clean that thoroughly causes a significant amount of pain. In my case, there was no numbing and she only did a small amount of cleaning and scraping so there was no pain involved. Like I stated earlier, it was no more than a regular cleaning I received at my earlier dentists office. In my opinion, and in conclusion, I was charged for a procedure that was never done properly. Please refund me my $102 to the address you have on file.
