Just met a hospice nurse Friday, she was nice enough, just too pushy wanting a decision immediately. Not the type of decision to rush. Then Saturday another hospice nurse contacted my sister and was rude, pushy and judgemental. We will never use Integrity.

Recently setup home care for my mother with Integrity. The "admin" who came out to review the service and do the paperwork was not very good at explaining the service and seemed to be very poorly informed about staff, schedule, and specifically mothers' personal needs. After a few phone calls following her initial onboarding visit she finally was able to identify a local staff member who would be assigned to come out at a specific time and day for mom's service. When that day and time arrived, the staff person was a no call, no show.

As a consumer and having loved ones who are consumers, Integrity has been good to us. As a job applicant, I'm afraid my experience was very much the opposite. I recently, in the past couple years or less, had the misfortune of being invited to an interview with Integrity Corporate in Springfield, MO. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that I was not welcome there. As a full figured black man, I felt completely out of place when I was met with strange and uncomfortable looks from every single employee I encountered, from the front desk to the ladies working in the back offices and even those coming in and out of the break room. They were all blonde women, most of them petite blonde white women, to a degree that made the entire experience pretty surreal for me. The interview itself was uncomfortable, with the interviewer asking me difficult questions about office management. Questions that were child's play for me to answer, because I specialize in that kind of work and have done it, and done it well, for ages. Despite having over a decade of experience in various clerical roles and being able to competently and confidently perform and explain the responsibilities required for the job, the interviewer seemed to grow more and more irritable with me as the interview went on. At one point, she even accused me harshly of rehearsing and memorizing my answers before coming to the interview. It's disheartening to see companies losing out on hiring and training costs and turnover for their office jobs because they prioritize aesthetics over qualifications. Not only is this unethical and illegal, but it's also a poor business model. It's time for companies like Integrity Corporate to start valuing diversity and inclusion and hiring qualified individuals based on their abilities, rather than their appearance. Naturally, their legal department has long prepared language, and is always ready to copy and paste said language as needed, about being in compliance with federal and state legislation where diversity and inclusion is concerned. But actions speak louder than words. There is much greater diversity in their applicant pool than their employee roster, and that speaks volumes. Spending time to prepare a statement indicating they have fair hiring practices, instead of actually incorporating any, just makes it all the worse in my opinion.
