I hired R&R to prepare a bid for my remodel. I met with the company's designer (I don't require any design services for my project, but this is the company's prescribed protocol, so I entertained this step) to explain the scope of my project and to begin the bid process. The company failed to provide a complete bid despite the fact that I supplied all requested design photos and dimensions days before the bid was submitted to me. The bid provided was incomplete per the scope discussed, and when I asked for a revised bid to include the full scope, I was told that no additional information would be provided until I had accepted the proposal and paid a deposit. I paid for a complete and accurate bid based on the scope of the project as we knew it. I fully expect that there will be changes related to things that we cannot know upfront, but none of what I was asking for is unknown. It is unreasonable and unethical for this company to expect their prospective clients to place a deposit for a bid that is incomplete and is going to change by an unknown amount. Please also be aware that some of this company's recent Google reviews are from employees so please be mindful of this when considering the 5-star reviews for this company.
