I had a mixed experience. My son needed extensive dental work done to help with his disabilities. Dr. Tobler did a great job. But dealing with Jacquelyn was difficult. The first time I worked with her I asked some minor questions about the procedure, and Dr. Tobler called me back believing I was considering canceling the procedure and the questions he believed I asked were inflated. The next time involved billing. I paid for my portion of the bill, thousands of dollars, up front based on their insurance estimate. The estimate turned out to be wrong by thousands of dollars. The billing department worked with my insurance to try to justify the procedure, but in the end I was told to pay. Due to the financial impact of the mistake, we agreed to a payment plan and I was billed mid May. I couldn't easily make the payments, due to hours of operation, so I made five months of payments at once in June. In August my child needed to be seen. I got a call back from Jacquelyn saying my bill was really old and I would need to pay an additional 300 dollars to be seen. I explained I was ahead on my payments, and due to the mistake in insurance I wasn't billed until later. She called me back and said she spoke to Dr. Tobler and he wasn't going to see my child without the 300 dollars, and an option to pay the bill would be to get a care payment card. I made a written agreement for a payment plan with the office, and even though I was ahead on payments, it became drama once Jacquelyn was involved. I'm sad I won't take my business to a hometown business, but I used to drive further for another dentist who had a great office. I'll be going there. Also, the system used for payments doesn't register any payments have been made, and the internal billing system shows the payments. So, I can't pay the remainder of the bill online because I'm billed the full original amount with no option of a partial payment, and I've already paid on the bill. Life is full of hard things, there is no need to complicate it further. That's why I'm cutting ties. Dr. Tobler did great, but I had a bad experience with some of the office staff.

Our 10yr old got a popcorn kernel piece stuck behind a tooth in her gums. I called and they could get us in so quickly! We've always had a great experience here!

You would never know my 6 year old just had 2 teeth pulled. Everyone at the office is outstanding with kids. The environment is so fun and colorful, they even have tvs on the ceiling for the kiddos to relax. He encouraged my son the entire time and then hyped him up afterwards. Seriously, the most amazing team of kid focused people I've ever met.

I really wish I could give 0 stars. I understand others have had great service from Dr. Tobler, but it should definitely be known that is not the case for everyone! We were regrettably referred to Dr. Tobler by another dentist who didn't specialize in pediatric dentistry & we were treated like 3rd class citizens every time our youngest child was seen. We have private dental insurance through an employer and I'm sure Medicaid patients or people with zero insurance were treated better than us. His office bills upfront for services, which I completely understand & am fine with. He said my child needed XYZ done, we scheduled an appointment for those services & on the day of the appointment, we paid the balance in full that they requested. During the service, not all of the work could be done because my child was in too much pain and the appointment had to end early (to which he claimed that we refused to pay for anything more than laughing gas which would've made her more comfortable. Um, no, excuse me sir.. We were NEVER given the option for anything other than laughing gas. HAD we been given the option between laughing gas or anesthesia, we would've gladly paid for the anesthesia). We were told there'd be a credit on our account. Magically there is no credit and they told us that they only charged us for the services that were done. Now, how is that possible when you THOUGHT you'd be doing XYZ but only XY were done and you couldn't have known Z wasn't going to be able to get done ahead of time unless you can see into the future? He kept claiming my child's teeth were "loose" and should be falling out "soon" so he didn't want to do any more dental work on them even though they really needed crowned. The teeth he is claiming are loose & should be falling out soon are in fact not loose or close to coming out naturally (I've had 2 dental practices tell me that since Dr. Tobler has seen my child). And the 2 crowns that he was actually able to place, have both failed in less than a year & have either had to be replaced or the tooth extracted. When he was confronted by that, he couldn't have cared less. Displayed zero sympathy or never offered to rectify the situation. Basically told me I was foolish for believing another dentist over him and the other dentist was just trying to get me to spend unnecessary money. Because I believed him for several months and did not pursue getting my child's teeth seen right away by another provider, her teeth are so bad now that the other provider had to refer her to a pediatric oral surgeon. Had he just done his job correctly and did the work that was in my child's best interest, I wouldn't be in the situation that I am in right now and honestly I'm upset that I put my trust in him. To quote the pediatric oral surgeon my child saw today "Her top 2 front teeth SHOULD be ready to come out BASED ON AGE, but the mouth trauma from when she fell and broke her tooth has delayed her top front teeth from coming in because they have to push through bone which even a DENTAL STUDENT should be able to see and are probably still a year from coming out naturally." Which sums up perfectly the type of dentist Mr. Tobler is. He's textbook smart and knows what ages certain things should happen for children, but he has no actual idea when it comes to situations that go against the norm. I'm sure he's great for basic cleanings and minimal work, but PLEASE.. if your child needs actual work done, PLEASE get a second opinion. Don't put all of your trust in him and wait several months just to find out that he was wrong.
