amazing how you can go to a church not one person said hi and you feel like you are the plague. stood at the coffee counter for 10 minutes and the help just ignored me like i wasnt even there. looked around for any kind of welcoming center and nothing.... never felt so bad in my life on my first and last visit to this place

I have nothing against this church. But my fianc & Is faith & trust for this community has been broken. Weve only attended this church 3 times. I love the many services they offer & everyone is kind. They do provide Kids Drop Off Zone with all ages in a separate hall way thats doubled door with security guards monitoring it. We only have one child & hes only 2. The 2nd time we went we had checked him in for our first time. It went pretty well. Theres a desk where you give them your info including your childs name & age and theyll print stickers to both parent & child for confirmation. Theyll text you if your child needs diaper change (which they did) or if theres anything to remind us. The last time we attended was on Easter. We checked in our kid, after that my fianc & I got coffee then while were both waiting in line one of us decided to check up on our son in his room. I go to it and I dont see him? There was another boy thats wearing the same exact shirt he was wearing and I had mistakenly thought it was him. But it wasnt. I felt skeptical. Usually theres someone at the door to confirm which child youre seeking. Nobody stood there so I opened the door myself because I started worrying where my child had gone. I looked at every corner of the room. There was at least 2 teenagers watching these kids in this room and one of them was supposed to be in charge. I asked one of them if they had seen my kid? They had no one idea. We looked into the next room and opened all the doors in the room including bathrooms and storage and he was completely gone. I started almost panicking at this point. My fianc had let the security guards know and they tried to look into the security cameras to find out where he had gone. I know my 2yr old is capable of opening doors himself. Maybe he could have just hid somewhere or did someone actually took him?? I walked out of the room & Im crying at that point, because our child was MISSING. Everybody was looking everywhere. Nobody knew anything. Not even the people (3 of them) standing at the desk, 3 security men standing at the double door. None of them had any idea where our child was. It was a really scary moment, I was crying in the hallway while theyve tried their best to look until 10 minutes later. The girl that was in charge of the room had finally remembered one of the staff left the room and must have taken him upstairs to the Sensory Room (which we had no idea that it existed). My fianc & I never received a text message from any of the staff. She called her and confirmed she was with our child. She came down with him and told us why it wasnt communicated and the reason why she pulled him out of the room was because he was crying shortly after we left. I tried to forgive what had just happened & see if he wanted to go back and play but he refused so we brought him to the ceremony with us. I cant explain how overwhelmed I was that Easter morning. As a mother, I was almost devastated that it felt like I almost lost my first and only child. Can you imagine? Out of all places. Still thanking God that we didnt. I realized this shouldnt affect us with anything from attending this church. It was just a situational misconception that was miscommunicated. Everyone makes mistakes and that I personally believe in giving second chances, but doesnt mean I will trust anything again like what just happened for instance. Its been a week and weve recovered from the minor traumatic event. Ive come to my conclusion that this location might not be the best option of us. Our last church had a kids room with a tv inside so we were able to still watch the ceremony live & still be with our kids if necessary. Unfortunately this location does not offer that. If youre someone like us who would prefer to watch the sermon live in the kids room without needing to separate with your toddlers especially, then Id suggest looking elsewhere that offers that. I just want to help other parents make better decisions on their preferences because I didnt realize we had any, until now.
