I wish we had more time to spend. Loved learning about the history of jazz and some of the most prominent musicians. The displays are informative and interactive.

What a funky little museum! The guy at the front desk is super charismatic! I loved having the opportunity to hear all original music made by these historic figures!! However there is a lot of pressing buttons, so I recommend bringing hand sanitizer, as it didn't seem to be provided. The architecture of the building was also interesting to see! Glad I went!

I enjoyed going to the HBCU parade which ended at the American Jazz Museum. Then they, and alumni from Lincoln University, an HBCU, co-hosted an H.B.C.U college mixer. To my surprise this event was held in the lobby of the American Jazz Museum immediately following the H.B.C.U. Community Parade! This is an excellent well organized Museum. It was very informative and it was nice to see that they are active in the community and supporting local events such as this. I found out that this is an annual event and I'm excited about coming back next year!
