This was the worst experience I have ever had with a mortgage company. They were absolutely ridiculously controlling on what money I could and couldnt use to close. Changed the closing cost higher seemingly daily, and also were terrible at communicating back with me. Worst company ever and wouldnt recommend them to anyone

Started the process in summer 2019 and due to their incompetence and slow response times, was unable to refinance because Covid. They kept taking almost a week to reply and then would request an additional document. I'd send that, wait another week for a response and they'd request another additional document. They kept asking for tax forms for the wrong business entity type even though I had to send them the entire articles of incorporation! Covid was in international news but they told me an appraisal ($500) was the final step to close. They sat on the completed appraisal for a month until Covid closed things here and they required additional docs. These were so specialized the business would have had to generate them solely for this purpose. As a comparison, in 2021 and despite major income losses for the past year and a half, we signed a refinance with a local company just over a month after the initial application. They were able to tell us EVERY SINGLE needed document at once.
