Great place! I used to sing in the choir there as a kid. Is John Schaefer still around? In fact the first homeless person I ever met lived on the steps of their Church. I forget his name, but his entire family died in a house fire. It taught me a lot about compassion and understanding and why some people are homeless.a

We set aside Sunday during our trip to KC for visiting cathedrals, assuming since it's God's day and God's house they'd surely be open. :) Unfortunately, since there were no hours listed we walked from our hotel to take a look to find the gate to the church locked. It was strange because the front gate was wide open, and there was a sign directly outside the entrance saying to enter through the gates (which was definitely locked - believe me, we tried lol). The outside was beautiful which unfortunately is all we have to go off of. We would've loved to check it out during our trip, so it was disappointing we weren't able to. We also called their office with no answer, so we wound up walking back soon after. It would've been fine had it been closed with hours listed online, we just wouldn't have bothered walking 45min there and back to do so.
