The Children's Place

This week my daughter received a children's place sweater for her birthday. She was excited to wear it but was in able to because the seems came undone and was completely unwearable after the very first wash following all proper care instructions. Today I tried to exchange it, since there was an obvious manufacture defect and was rudely dealt with. The moment they found out I had no receipt they were rude and unwillingly to help in any way. My.daughter is crushed as she loved this sweater and was so excited to get to wear it. I offered to take the lowest sale price and pay the difference towards something else and they still rudely refused. This location has horrible customer service, it does not back their merchandise and does not treat their customers with respect or put the customer first. I would not recommend their store for anything!

I was in The Childrens Place yesterday to exchange my 4 years old birthday gifts she got over the weekend. The clothing and coat were all a size too small so I wanted to exchange them for a bigger size. No problem, right? Any other store would be accommodating but oh no! It started out ok. The cashier told me that since I did not have a receipt that I would have to exchange all items for the exact same thing just a different size. Okay, thats fine. And off she went to pull the sizes I needed. She comes back with only half of what I brought in and states that one outfit they are totally out of and she isnt sure if they will restock. Three other outfits they did not have my daughters size in and she did not know when or if they would restock but per store policy I was unable to get anything else in the store, even if equal or lesser value. She just stood there and looked at me dumbly. I ended up leaving the store with all the clothes that were too small. Horrible horrible policy and customer service.

I have shopped many times at The Children's Place however, this is the first time I was at this location in Kansas City and to say the least I will never return. The staff working had the professional approach of a 2 year old. Perhaps they only hire children to work here as well. It is my recommendation to everyone reading this review to avoid this location.

Been going here for over 13 years and have never had a bad experience! My only complaint is they have minimal infant clothes but that's more of a corporate issue.

They were pleasant people, but it did feel welcoming. I had a hard time finding my child's size.
