I was a guest at a wedding reception last night, and the venue was clean and quaint. What left the best impression on me was one of the staff members. Im a new mom to a 2 week old and I was sitting in the restroom nursing when a staff member came in. She was incredibly kind and thoughtful. She asked if I needed anything and offered me a water to which I said yes! It seems like a small gesture but as a new mom I was very appreciative of this kind of hospitality.

We couldnt be happier with our choice of the Yellow Rock Barn for our wedding reception. We planned for an outdoor wedding in the middle of July and were grateful to retreat to a large, charming air-conditioned space. The wood floors make the transition from dinner to dancing a snap and the built-in sound system was easy to work with (though we did hire a DJ who also had his own equipment). The separate banquet room served as the perfect place to set up our buffet and bar and the small kitchen area, while nothing fancy, gave us a place to store additional beverages and leftover food. The facilities manager (Erik) was personable and helpful at every step. We appreciated the venues hands off approach that allowed us to bring in whatever food and drink we wanted and to decorate however we wanted (with understandable exceptions, such as open flames). The wall-to-wall bistro lights that cover the ceiling of the barn transform that space into a magical rustic haven. The exterior of the barn was a great backdrop for our sparkler send-off photos and the interior was just the right size for our party. Theres also ample parking in the lot just outside the barn.
