We looked back at our records and can see the unit was installed in January 2015 and we do not have a record of service until December 2020. On the first visit that you are referring to, our tech found a frozen unit and the filter was dirty which dirty filter can cause airflow restrictions that cause the unit to freeze up. We informed the customer to let the unit thaw, turn it on again before going to bed, and call us if the unit was keeping up as it may be low on refrigerant, but we couldn’t tell due to the unit being frozen at the time of the visit. The customer called the next day and we went back out - this was the second visit. During that visit, the technician found the unit low on refrigerant. He spoke with the customer letting him know it was low on refrigerant due to a suspected leak and that he wanted to add a UV Dye to the unit so a leak search could be performed to find the source of the leak. The price of the leak search was also written on the paperwork that the customer signed off on. At that time we scheduled an appointment for two months out to come back out and perform the leak search. The third visit was the scheduled visit for the leak search. When it comes to finding problems with a unit, it is imperative that the unit be functional to diagnose problems, which did result in multiple visits. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
