Fine place to live if you need to be close to KU but management was no help at all. Complained multiple times about a neighbor smoking on our floor and they rudely replied and did nothing about, saying they couldnt even smell it. Then they tried to charge us a fee for not giving them 60 days notice of moving out after they claimed they left a notice at our doorstep which we never received. Management could have been way better if they put their residents first. Would not recommend.

Theyre out of their mind 1300+ for a 500 sq ft studio. Ya good luck with that people. Get yourself a house.

I have been working at West 39th Street for 4 months now and absolutely love it's location and the luxury of the community. Walk less than across the street for great food. Fitness center is huge with lots of equipment. Plaza deck is beautiful and has a outdoor kitchen, TV , seating , and a Bark Park. Very excited to be working here !

I lived here for over 5 years and wanted to share my experience. First, within the last year there were TWO instances where someone got into the bottom level parking garage (simply because the door didn't lock and no one took the complaints seriously). Once in, they smashed a bunch of car windows and stole whatever they could find. I complained numerous times about the poor locking mechanisms on numerous doors (of which I have videos and pictures of) and they finally fixed it but not until after the second break-in. Management will not help you in any way if your vehicle is damaged or broken into- as the garage is just a garage and in no way a safety feature, and it's not their responsibility to make sure you or your vehicle are safe. Second, packages are constantly missing and they do nothing other than to tell you to file a police report. They have a package room (which came about after I complained so many times) but that only works when someone is present to place the packages in the locked room, otherwise people that live in the complex (and their guests) are free to take packages as they see fit as there is no camera (despite asking for one numerous times) that views the mail room. It's all honor based and clearly that doesn't work. Third, you would think the Panera would be an amazing addition to the complex but it's actually the opposite. They destroy the trash/recycling room on a daily basis. Good luck getting your trash and recycling in the bins. Also, the parking situation is terrible if you park in the bottom garage. Panera customers constantly park in areas that block your line of sight as your trying to exit the parking garage and its an accident waiting to happen. Fourth, I love animals but they have ruined the complex. Their owners are not cleaning up after them and the place smells like a wet dog. While your experience may differ, I could hear dogs barking constantly each day. The apartments are cheaply made and you can hear everything- so I'd invest in some good earplugs. Fifth, I was charged an additional fee at time of move out for smoke on the wall. I've never smoked or burned anything in the apartment as I have bad asthma. This complaint is no where mentioned on the final walk through but was 'snuck' in at time of closing. I was told my estimated cost from my deductible would be $50-75 for additional wall repair and paint for the amount of anchors I had in the wall for hanging heavy items. The final charge was $140. I could go on but those are the biggest things that really rubbed me wrong. Best of luck if you choose this location. Personally, I'd go elsewhere, you could at least get a pool and security for the price you are paying here.
