We strive to make our clients happy at Wanderlust, but it seems as though we were never going to achieve that with this client or her mother. Tori arrived for her 1:30 appt. There had been a water disruption due to a main water break in town being repaired which did put Miranda behind about 15 min. They started her service at 1:45 and checked her out at 5:42. 1:30-5:45 is 4 hours and 15 min (15 min wait and a 4 hour service) not 6 hours. The service that was booked for Tori online was a two hour service. This service includes a base and tone, all over color or a few face framing foils. That means during the booking process Tori reserved 2 hours of Miranda’s time. Upon arriving, Tori requested balayage/highlights, which are not included in the package that was booked, and complained how the last stylist didn’t lighten the underside of her hair. Miranda agreed and delivered a beautiful partial balayage with some lighter pieces in the underside (which is a tad more than a partial). Lightening services do take longer than what was originally booked. During that time, Miranda had other clients scheduled because Tori only reserved a two hour service. While the toner was processing at the shampoo bowl, Miranda did the other haircuts on her other scheduled clients. One of the other stylists stepped up to help Miranda out by shampooing and blow drying Tori. Tori refused the haircut that was offered to her by Miranda, after being blow dried and back in her chair. Miranda’s color service include a complimentary haircut and style. Therefore this client wasn’t charged extra for those services. She opted out of receiving them which does not change pricing. 3-4 hours is customary time for a balayage service to be completed. Miranda charged Tori $140 like stated above. $100 was the 2 hour package booked and $40 was product cost. If one reads the booking link it states on the service package description that it is a starting price and that product fees apply. Miranda charged less than she would have had the service been booked on the correct package for a balayage. Tori was not scammed and was actually discounted the $35 for the upgrade in service. Tori never communicated disappointment or dissatisfaction during her service… never communicated a time crunch beside saying she had to be somewhere at 7. Only for the salon phone and fb messenger to literally be blowing up by the clients mother once Toni had left. Both of them leaving one star reviews within an hour of leaving the salon. Oh and we can’t forget to mention the bringing us to small claims threats.Miranda did reach out to Tori via text after all of this to apologize and to still extend the offer for her to come back to get the haircut. No response back from Tori.
