Dr. Rakestraw has been my familys - family physician for about 25 years. As an RN of 33 years who has worked in many healthcare settings alongside many physicians, there is no other physician I would choose to be my health partner or entrust with the health of my family or when asked for a referral, steer them to Dr Rakestraw. He is an awesome listener, promotes healthy relationships and healthy lifestyles and has never over treated/prescribed. Staff at the Southwest Blvd and St. Elizabeth locations are equally professional, second to none.

This office is Horrible do not waist your time!!! We have tried using Dr. Sands for myself and Dr. Geist at this location and have never had a good experience. I have gone to Dr. sands for a year and with 2 visits I have had to call back several times every time i get my medication filled to have them fix the script that was sent. Its either completely the wrong amount, the wrong length or something else is wrong and I have to call back multiple times to get it fixed. Right now I have been waiting 2 weeks for a script from September!!! Now Im told I have to wait until the doctor is back from his vacation in another week! Its just ridiculous and on top of that the staff is dismissive, rude and act like you should be thanking them for just answering the phone which they hardly ever do. Dont try sending a message either we sent 3 messages to Dr. Geist while my mom was fighting a UTI before she ended up in the emergency room! It took 3 weeks before we heard back and all they said was we sent you a response? Well I have no idea who they sent it to because all I had was my 3 messages and that was it! Again extremely bad office never gets back with you and impossible to get ahold of anyone.
