Gentiva is by far the best hospice around! I've been a nurse in the area for 17 years and Ive dealt with them all. Their HCC Vickie Wieberg is not only helpful and kind but she is passionate about the care they give.

I cannot give enough stars for the gracious help I received from Vickie Wieberg. A few months ago my grandmother whom is struggling with dementia took a turn for the worse. I live in Arizona so I felt completely helpless and scared beyond words. I reached out to Vickie desperate for any help and boy did she deliver. She gave me all the information I needed to provide to my dad and I could feel her compassion coming through the phone almost as though she was right here hugging me and telling me everything will be alright. Ive talked to so many others in the industry and mostly felt like we were just another number. Not with this girl. My precious grandmother came back strong and is doing well and I cant help but feel that she had a big part of that. Its nice to know I can always reach out to her in the future and know I will be treated with the utmost care and compassion

Being a registered nurse in our community , when my father began to decline , I knew that hospice was not about dying , it was about living , therefore I requested Gentiva hospice for services that would be of great benefit to us and of course my father . I knew that Gentiva hospice was a 5 star provider in our community and I knew of some of the staff that they employ. Some of the best nurses and staff their is - I knew of their compassion , their dedication and their hospice hearts . I also knew they saw their patients 3 to 1 of any other hospice in this community . I also knew that they would take great care and pride in honoring our Dad , a veteran . Thanks to Gentiva hospice our father thrived beyond what was expected - much longer . The help we received was not only whatever we decided we needed and changed as circumstances change and they were with us every step of the way . I dont know how people do without this service that is a benefit that everyone has the right to receive . We got equipment he needed that we did not have to worry about how we were going to pay for . We received spiritual services from a retired veteran / chaplain himself who visited with my dad often because my Dad liked that . We received social services when we asked and we didnt have to do ANYTHING alone anymore . I am grateful for the care , the relationships , the time - that you provided my father and all that you did for his 5 children , who really didnt know what to expect . We knew if we decided we didnt want hospice , we could easily just discontinue it , so to us , it was a no brainer ! Gentiva hospice is simply the best ! I would recommend Gentiva Hospice to anyone in or around the Jefferson City area !

My father in law who was a veteran , has a stroke last year and we requested Gentiva hospice because he qualified for hospice services and GENTIVA HOSPICE is THE VETERANS HOSPICE they were amazing . We were so blessed to have them. We knew that hospice wasnt a death sentence , it was simply extra help that he qualified for - he did so well with the added bonus of hospice that we had our vet back with us , giving us more time with him then we ever would have had . They gave him a pinning ceremony and the final salute was nothing short of beautiful . GENTIVA HOSPICE in JEFFERSON CITY is a 5 star hospice and it showed . Gentiva stood out to us for seeing our family member 3 times more often than the other hospice service that was seeing a patient at the facility we were at . Their care and constant dedication to go above and beyond to be the best - was easily noticed in all that they did for us . We will forever be grateful and always tell others that when the time comes that they need a hospice service - Call Gentiva , they are simply the very best ! Formerly Kindred At Home , they have been in the JC and surrounding areas for years now . We knew of them as Kindred and were thrilled to know that Gentiva bought them and kept them in Jefferson City . We had experienced Gentiva Hospice in Kansas with another family member and knew that Gentiva is the biggest hospice care provider in the nation - and you can only do that by being one of the very best , to us , THE BEST ! Thank you for all that you did for our family and our veteran !
