Shelter Insurance - Stephanie Ogle

My recommendation is to find a different insurance agent. I'd honestly give Stephanie 0/5 stars if I could. Stephanie's slogan is "My commitment to helping our customers does not stop when they sign their policies – they know they can contact me at any time". This is far from the truth. She is never available during work hours to answer her phone. It takes days and multiple calls to get her to call you back. She was unable to cancel my general liability insurance when I asked her to not let it auto renew. This made me pay two years (about $200) for a policy I didn't need or want. I asked for the company to reimburse me for the agent's error. They simply said "sorry for the inconvenience" and that "I had to pay the rest of the policy". Stephanie does not follow her slogan. Once you've signed on your policy, don't expect her to manage it. You will have to manage it the whole time, check up on it numerous times, and constantly contact her supervisor to fix her errors. I've also had renters and auto insurance policies messed up with her. When I requested to be transferred to a new agent, she was unable to do that and even messed up my parent's insurance even though we have separate policies from each other. Needless to say I canceled all my policies with Shelter Insurance two years ago due to this agent (Stephanie Ogle). The only policy I still have with them currently is the general liability insurance........because it keeps getting renewed against my wishes. Hopefully, now that her supervisor has given me the appropriate documents and after I unfortunately must pay the final $60 of the policy, I will be completely done with this company and especially this agent.

I have been a customer for many years and have had many vehicles insured there. Stephanie knows and does her job very well, I have never had an issue that she hasn't been able to work out. I would highly recommend her for your insurance needs.

My issue is not with Shelter insurance, it's with Stephanie Ogle. She is NEVER in her office or available during business hours. She NEVER reaches out, checks in or follows up. Honestly I feel like I dont have an insurance representative and I am better off calling the company help line than wasting my time trying to get ahold of her or anyone in her office for that matter. I have been with her for a year now and I have not been able to speak with her once. She fails in comparison to other Shelter insurance agents I've worked with. If you're look into Shelter I HIGHLY recommend you look at other agents. You will be terribly disappointed if you choose to work with Stephanie.
