Dr. Joyce Boehmer

Stay away! Dr. Boehmer misdiagnosed me. She claimed I had internal hemorrhoids and discouraged me from seeing a specialist. Eventually, the nurse practitioner recommended a specialist (I had a HMO at the time and could not see a specialist without a referral) and the specialist diagnosed me with UC. He was in disbelief that Dr. Boehmer did not refer me to a specialist. I told him my exact symptoms - heavy bleeding, burning sensations after eating, rapid weight loss, urgency etc. Terrible doctor. It took me over 10 years to be in remission and in the meantime I developed avascular necrosis. Her ignoring my symptoms stole my 20s from me. From 22-32 my life was ruined and since she lied about my diagnosis and delayed my visit to a specialist, I partially blame her. I suffered for almost two years on a rapid decline all while being in constant communication with her.

Dr. Boehmer was my doctor for about 25 years I stop going to her because I moved I couldn't keep driving the distance. But now I wish I'd never left I'm on my second PC sense leaving her I definitely regret it she's the BEST doctor that I've ever had, so personable and caring. I miss her being my PC doctor.

Excellent doctor, Caring personality. She has been my doctor, and my mom and dad's doctor for 25-years. Awesome!

I absolutely love Dr Boehmer and all the nurses. I recently quit going there because i moved and it was a huge mistake. I saw dr Boehmer for 15 years or more. If she would take me back as her patient i would come back in a minute and not mind the drive at all.
