I sat at home waiting for my package all morning. When I checked my mail box there was a crumpled Sorry we missed you note in my mailbox. They didnt knock or ring the doorbell. Extremely frustrating, especially since I needed the Amazon package as soon as possible. They also said I could pick up my package on December 2nd, its December 30th today. This was a terrible experience.

I had spent some time writing out my postcards. It's one of those things I do when I travel. I pick up a dozen or so cards from some interesting place and send them to my friends. Now that my fingers hurt from writing (who *writes* these days?), I need stamps. This post office was easy to locate and they have a free parking lot as well as space along the street. Parked and went inside. The clerk was pleasant but had to go in the back to get 20 post card stamps. I guess people don't send many postcards these days from a city that is heavily reliant on tourists? Stamps applied and they have a drop slot inside. There is also one outside. The post cards arrived a few days later.

Staff there went above and beyond the call of duty when I asked a clerk if she would write out the recipient's address on an envelop I had purchased there to send a large amount of important papers because my handwriting had gone downhill and I would never get it filed out without making a mess of it. She graciously did so and was very polite and professional about it. What was simple task for her prevented added stress to a stressful day and helped me get through it.
