    My Trane system was installed just shy of 5 years ago, by Townsend Heating and Cooling. When the business was owned by the father. However, in July, my house suffered water damage. A second floor water supply line burst and water went into my furnace. We called Townsend, since we had been happy with their previous service. They replaced the furnace, but not the a/c. Last month, the unit was turned off. Our electric went out and when it came back on, antifreeze and sparks were shooting out of the upper part of our furnace. I called Townsend and they sent their repairman. I sent them photos and video clips as it was happening. He showed up that afternoon and said he didn't know why it had happened. I spoke with and emailed Townsend. Christine told me, since it's not a/c season, they weren't going to worry about it now. It wasn't a rush, since my furnace still works. She said parts would be covered under warranty, but I'd have to pay labor and for freon. The repairman Alex, said he'd speak to the owner about writing a letter to my insurance company, since I still have an open claim and my a/c needs to be replaced. This issue is due to the water running through my furnace and should be part of the claim. Needless to say, I have not heard back from Townsend. They're very unresponsive. In the past 5 years, I've paid them $10,000+. Seems like they'd want to service their established customers. I guess once they have your money, you're no longer a valued customer? Services: A/C system repair, Repair HVAC, A/C system maintenance, Heating system installation, HVAC system maintenance

I've been trying to get Townsend to repair it for a month. They ordered the wrong parts the first time and said they would reorder the correct part.When I call for an update, the office won't return my calls. The installer is the only one who will call me and he's just a subcontractor so has no control over orders, etc.If you are going to have a system installed by them, you'd better have a back up system because they have no interest in customer relations. You will be sitting for a month without ac like I am now.

    Business has changed hands from father to son. Been a customer since 2008 when i had a new furnace and cooling system installed. The son is now in charge. My a/c is not working. The son came out about two to three weeks ago and said everything was fine after going out to get freon from his truck. H e told me to call back if problems persist. I left two messages about ongoing problems with my house not being cold. Got no response. I called tday and he advised me to get another company to get my system working. After spending 10,000 dollars on new system and ductwork that they told me i needed which did not fix anything, they are not interested in fixing their equipment.
