This place is the slum lords of property management......very disrespectful when it comes to them doing their jobs....front desk....don't bother.

Avoid renting from Real Property Group. Their maintenance and management team is abysmal. A few months ago our only shower handle broke and the water wouldn't turn on, and it took them days to "fix" it. Well this Sunday, it broke again, except the water would not shut off this time. My partner and I called the "emergency" maintenance line, which is obviously outsourced, 5 different times that day and was told each time someone would be contacting us. After hours of it running, no one ever called or showed up, so we took it upon ourselves to find the shutoff valve and went without running water for over 12 hours. A technician wasn't even contacted about it until Monday morning. I emailed the management team to ask to help with our water bill since their maintenance team did not respond for hours and we were afraid to mess with anything until it was obvious no one was coming. Scott from management responded to my email, refusing any assistance and essentially placing the blame on me, because I told the "emergency" line that the water was not running outside of the tub so they did not contact anyone to come to us. I would think the phrase "Water running nonstop" would indicate an emergency. He said, "Apologies you are not satisfied with the way things were handled, but we have specific rules in place for a reason." I asked for what specific rules he was speaking about and where I can find the rules about what specific language you need to use to make sure your actual emergency is responded to. It is not my fault that they have a bad system for emergency requests and they are now trying to leave me with what will be an outrageous water bill because of their lack of response. Not to mention, there has not been a single time a maintenance request was solved smoothly. They had to replace my dishwasher 3x times, one time taking 2 months, before figuring out the issue. They had to check out our furnace multiple times before finding out a very simple fix to this horribly loud sound it was making all day and night. When they finally put a 2nd washer and dryer in a building that holds 10 units (after being told the ancient ones there did not work months prior), they did not secure the washer on the platform and it tipped over with my clothes in it. Of course since this was on a weekend, no one from the "emergency" line responded and I had to pick the washer up of the floor myself and pry it open to get my clothes out. Another time, they towed my car from the parking lot, and refused to pay for it even though they knew I lived there. We are constantly disappointed by their lack of customer service. Many people at the office are nice, unless you are displeased with a service. Frankly, if they cannot hire enough maintenance to care for the hundreds of units they own in Columbia, they should not own that many.
