My wife and I have been living at the Avolon Apartments. Our experience at this place absolutely nothing but terrible.

The Avalon has been okay. I was informed by a maintenance guy by the name of Jahod that the buildings would be power washed this past year, 2023.I've been living in the Avalon for just about 4 years now,&the buildings were powered washed when I first arrived. My husband put in a request in probably the start of 2023 asking if the buildings would be power washed.Honestly, they've been gross.I mentioned this to the agent Ashley when she was first hired.I didnt expect immediate results because i knew that she needed to settle in to her job. We were overjoyed when a team arrived and began the job in 2023, washing the back side of the buildings. Interestingly, the interior wasn't touched.Jahod,the maintenance guy, told me that he would be finishing the job himself by doing the interiors. I was satisfied!However, time danced by and my buildings interior remained untouched. I was approached by Jahod &informed that the leasing office manager, Ashley, would be putting in a bid to get the interiors done on my building as well as the last building in the complex. I wondered why she would put in a bid with a totally different company but accepted his explanation as truth.He told me that things were difficult to get handled because all bids had to go through Laura, which is the name of the head corporate person that Ashley must answer to. I felt he was honest and wouldn't lie about such an issue.He told me that Laura is an extreme micro-manager regarding everything and everyone. He went on to inform me that his body was in pain from doing the job on the buildings in the front of the complex so the rest would be done by someone else.Oddly, when I saw Jahod at a later date and asked him about my building being power washed,he let me know that all of the bid talk that Ashley did was B.S . He told me that Ashley never put in another bid, it was all a lie. I didn't know if her actions were done because I had done something wrong/if she disliked me.Jahod went on to tell me how he would be quitting the company soon to go elsewhere because the pay with the Avalon was absolute trash. He informed me that he was never trusted to do his job properly, Laura always second guessed his work. He let me know that he was tired of being undermined. I was very apologetic to him.I told him that my disappointment made me wonder if I should renew my lease. At that time, Jahod sat down on a paint bucket and started informing me of various complexes that I should consider moving to.He let me know that he couldn't even get a dollar raise from the Avalon. He let me know that the company was incredibly cheap about everything. He said he was surprised by how cheap they were being that they are located in Chesterfield, and that he was started with a very low dollar amount of money. Jahod told me so many things that i saw no reason to think otherwise, but for some reason he made me feel curious about his character. Something felt off, fishy even. The neighbor above me will be moving out soon, but has a very ragedy deck above my head that also concerns me. Jahod approached me one day that i was leaving the complex to let me know that the deck was in the process of being looked at by a company that would be able to repair it. I gave him a high five and thanked him. Unfortunately, I was approached by Jahod within days of the deck being looked at and told by him that he didn't know what was happening anymore because once again, his efforts had been undermined by Ashley and Laura He said he was informed that the men that he had looking at my neighbors deck didn't schedule any start date to work on the deck at all. He said he felt defeated because he was trying to get the issue handled but works under their thumb. He said he was over it.I thought to go to the leasing office about the matters, but I didn't want to look like a complainer. My husband told me not to say anything else about the power washing.He felt that speaking up more than once was overkill.I listened to him and remained silent& unhappy&curious about Jahod. -FancyLee W.
