Was in there last couple days doing my shopping and there was people everywhere stocking and cleaning WOW they are making positive change in that store New store manager and all new crew I got high hopes

This is the worst family dollar I have ever been in!!!! Unfortunately in my experiences it's the employee(usually only 1) that are usually the problem. I only stop there to buy detergent when Im going to do laundry, last Saturday I stopped for my detergent as usual when I got to the register to pay I had a $100 bill and $6 in my wallet I spent $8 so I give the cashier Linda who is also the manager my $100 bill she huffs real loud and ask if I have anything else, I do not Karen I mean Linda! She then tells me well your gonna get quarters dimes and nickels back I said I don't care that's all I've got. Let me tell you!!! this grown woman huffed and slammed rolls of coins and the cash drawer after she lifted it to check for any bills underneath the entire time it took her to count out my $92 which consisted of 1-$20 2-$10 2-$5 27-$1 a roll of quarters and a roll of dimes. You would have thought she was 5 instead of 50 the fit she threw!! That's ok, I got her good as I stuffed all my change in the bag I looked at her and told her I'm going to do laundry anyway hence the detergent and dryer sheets I needed the quarters!!! I understand not every place can break a $100 especially right after opening but I've also worked my whole life in sales and I do know there's a safe usually with a change fund or if your smart enough you can even make your own change before you deposit all those small bills that you obviously need and this was at 1:50 pm not at 9 am. That's not even the only issue, Linda will stand there and conversate with people and delivery drivers or even scan in a whole delivery while the customer stands there waiting at the register I've almost walked out a couple times! Anybody should know your customers come first( no customers no business) before personal conversations and even before delivery drivers ESPECIALLY if you only have 1 employee in the entire store and somehow they always have the worst attitude toward checking out the customers. It doesn't help that the store shelves are half empty and boxes and carts of stuff sitting everywhere. If you doubt what I've said I'd advise you to check your cameras on Saturday 2-24-24 about 1:50 pm And you will see Linda have her tantrum and slam rolls of coins in the counter at me hopefully you have audio so you can hear what she says to your customers. It's not shocking that the store rarely has any customers after a couple stops there. I UNDERSTAND!!! **I only gave 1 star because I had to ***
