Commerce Bank

I have been a long time customer of Commerce Bank. However, if my bank became overdrawn, they would wait at least a week before charging me an overdraft fee. Lately, I have been getting charged the next day before I even have time to fix it. I also have several deposits in transit that have not cleared the bank in a week, while this whole time my account has been in the negative because I thought they would clear in time. They hit me with over 6 overdraft fees in a week. That's over $200 in overdraft fees! My deposits covered my account, but since they took so long to approve them, they were able to charge me more overdraft fees. I would not recommend this bank to anyone. I have used them for over ten years and enough is enough. I called the number at the bottom in the "response from the owner" and was sent to a branch in St. Louis that had to direct me to my branch that sent me to someone else that continuously explained the overdraft policy to me. Was absolutely no help. I will definitely be switching banks.

Refused to certify my signature on an official government form. Making me feel like I was asking for something illegal. Notary public services are supposed to be part of customer services. After 45 minutes I was sent on my way, being told "they were not comfortable doing it". Public library accomplished the task in less than 5 minutes.
