Cockerell & McIntosh Pediatrics - an affiliate of Children's Mercy

Wanted to switch to a pediatrician closer to home than we had previously been seeing. Dr. Cockerell came highly recommended to me. We absolutely loved him and all of the staff for our first visit to their office.

Yesterday was my first experience at the Blue Springs location and I was impressed by the whole place. The waiting room was obviously kid friendly and fun, the nurses were all so kind and then the doctor made my daughter who was very nervous extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this place.

As a first time mom this office has truly been an awful experience. We gave them insurance information and they are still demanding money or send us to collections. I havent even been offered to pay out of pocket for a visit just told my child will no longer be seen and can no longer schedule future appointments. Sounds money hungry to me and not about the children. Weve been updating them month to month since baby was born because of fighting with insurance companies and now they are running our clock out the 90 day window. Doesnt seem like great customer service to me. I will never take my child back.

Kudos to this office. They treated us so well from start to finish. My son was sick. I went to multiple urgent cares who werent taking any walk ins because it is two days before Christmas. Even Childrens mercy urgent care wasnt taking walk ins. I called this office and they were willing to see my son even though they werent his pediatricians and had never seen him before. I was warned ahead of time that there would be a wait. The whole experience was much quicker than any urgent care Ive been to on a normal day. Thank you guys, your hard work has brought peace to us this holiday season.
