Hampton Inn & Suites Tupelo/Barnes Crossing

The rooms and service are fantastic. Breakfast was delicious. The problem is the location -- the highway noise will keep you awake if you wake up in the middle of the night. Perhaps the city will build a noise dampening wall as this area becomes more developed. That being said I would use this hotel again if I come through Mississippi again.

We checked in at about 2 in the morning and Mark was AWESOME. Best customer service we have ever had anywhere. Super friendly and professional and extremely knowledgeable about the area. The rooms are great sized and well stocked, very nice altogether. Breakfast is served in the morning and there is a good variety of options, and the fresh made food is delicious. Whether youre staying or passing through, this hotel is most definitely worth staying at. The customer service at this hotel is amazing, true definition of southern hospitality.

Area surrounding this hotel was lovely and had great access to food and shopping. The breakfast offered by the hotel was great and the gentlemen who was the attendant to the food was very kind. The pool area was clean, water was great and my kids love it. The hotel room itself was clean, comfortable and quiet. My only complaint was the bulk soaps that hotels now have hanging off the wall were falling off by the sink and the shower, which made me nervous with my toddlers.

Check-in was excellent, very friendly staff member. Room clean and in excellent shape. Area good, safe with local restaurants and shopping. Issue is our room was next to a room with a barking dog which barked randomly until around 10pm. At 9pm guests above us began doing a Zumba class or something, running and jumping. This went on until midnight. I tried calling front desk 3 times. Let it ring 5 minutes once and never got an answer. Finally went down to the front desk at 1135pm and the guy there Said he'd go check. But noise continued unabated until a few minutes after midnight. I know hotels can't fully control guests, but not answering guest room phone 3 separate times over a 30 minute period is inexcusable.
