I found Malachi on a whim when I was looking for a place to service my locs in the area. I am so glad that I booked!! She was friendly, efficient, and affordable!! My locs/style was super crisp & Ive received so many compliments. Malachi was amazing! 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend!!

January 6th, I found Malachi through this app called Style Seat. Seemed promising! Not sure if the app is always accurate, but it said the 14th was open. I booked a consultation appointment to discuss if what I wanted for my hair was possible. Well, next day I get an email saying that my consultation was cancelled. I email Malachi that day asking about it, and a day later she explains shes out of town. Wont be able to have a consultation in person, but would be glad to do it through email. Okay, Im cool with that. In fact, Im very appreciative of her doing the consultation for free. So were conversating through email, discussing my hair. Keep in mind I was getting 1-2 responses a week. I was asking for her availability and kept checking the app to see if it was changing, as I was trying to get my hair done on the 27th. She had the 25th but I had to work It got closer to time and she didnt have any spots open that day, but the next day was available. Although its on my birthday, I went ahead and booked it to not risk it being taken. I got an email confirming the appointment is on January 28th at 10:00am. I get to the building at 9:51am and had trouble finding her unit. Once I did, I knocked a good few times. Although I heard music and movement inside, no one answered. I even messaged her through the app, emailed, and called. No answer. I finally gave up Birthday ruined. After seeing all the positive reviews, I had such high hopes She emailed me later in the night saying there was no appointment scheduled (although I received a confirmation email that there was?), and that the 30th is still available if Im still interested. But honestly, after having such a terrible experience trying to get in, I think Ill pass. IMO very unprofessional. Super disappointed
