I worked with David Welch at Affordable Lending Group to purchase my new home. I can't imagine a home buying process going any better than it did. From start to finish David was there to answer all my questions. Whenever me and my wife talked to David about the home buying process David was patient and thorough in answering our questions and sharing his home buying knowledge an experiences. I highly recommend using Affordable Lending Group in Ridgeland, MS for the best homebuying experience.

Absolutely horrible service... I engaged with ALG over a year ago and they have yet to close my refinance. Now, after 1 year and interest rates are now rising, no one will return a call or text?? I would understand if there was some reasoning behind not closing, but credit and/or income is not an issue. Just to give everyone an idea of the timeline (I definitely don't want anyone thinking I'm overreacting here...), here is how it sets up: - August 2020 - Began discussions with David Adams of ALG about getting my house refinanced. At that time, I did not have all of my tax information together for the previous year and understand that was why the process didn't immediately get started. - October 29, 2020 - I filed my taxes before October 15th and I received everything back from the IRS on October 20. I then sent David Adams all of my tax information and all of the other documentation that, at that time, he said he needed. - November 12, 2020 - After not hearing from David Adams since I sent in everything he requested, I received an email stating "...I have everything working on your refinance." (at this point, I'm assuming all is moving forward) - December 2, 2020 - After not hearing from him for almost a month, David Adams reached out and needed some more information (closing disclosure documents), I immediately got those turned around to him the same day. (in hopes that he would understand my urgency...) - January 5, 2021 - After repeated times of attempting to get some information from David Adams, I received a reply email that said, "Your refinance is in the works...." - January 14, 2021 - Received a text from David Adams stating, "...I got everything rolling... Rate is still good." One can only assume that he's not misleading me in any way, so I stuck with it. - January 15, 2021 - Received a text from David Adams (in response from my text asking about the expected closing date) stating, "Two and half weeks from Monday." - February 3, 2021 - Received all the actual refinancing paperwork from Paul Brown and immediately executed the loan documents via docusign, so everything was in and back to ALG that same day. At this point I'm hopeful that everything will actually close, so I'm still hanging in there.... - April 6, 2021 - After back and forth multiple times (with David Adams only responding to 1 in 3 texts or calls) the appraisal gets ordered and the appraisal finally gets to and performs appraisal on my house on this day... One would have thought that would have been done months before now, but no... At any rate, being the eternal optimist that I am, I remain hopeful... - April 15, 2021 - Appraisal came in and at a good price, so I'm expecting we should be closing any day now... Nope... - April 27, 2021 - David Adams reaches back out to me and tells me that he needs additional information (tax transcripts) - why in the world is this just now coming up after 6 months of working with this clown, I'm thinking to myself...? Nonetheless, I get him everything he needs by April 29, 2021, and David Adams verified via text that he NOW has everything he needs. - Time passes.... preliminary closing dates were made and broken 3 times.... Very little to know responses or information coming back from David Adams at all during the next 6 months.... Annnddd here we are October 14, 2021 and still no refinancing... I know what some must be thinking - fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice (in this case about 10 times) shame on me - So it's completely on me for believing someone was actually going to do what they say they are going to do... Maybe everyone over at ALG is not as incompetent as what I was dealing with, so I hate to damn everyone over there, but I did reach out to the owners for some help and all I got was lip service (when I did actually hear back form someone) Please, if anyone out there is contemplating using ALG to secure a mortgage loan or refinance their mortgage, use my ignorance and loss as information and go through another company... DO NOT USE AFFORDABLE LENDING GROUP...
