Getting the quote seemed great. But, the vapour barrier we had up in our shop turned out to not accept the spray so it had to be removed. We didnt know this until the work was to begin. Had to go with closed cell (way more expensive) because of this. The workers(one of them at least) was professional and conscientious. The work got done relatively quickly despite the equipment being in less than decent working condition. The end result isn't pretty because the gun wasn't functioning well. It's obvious the owner doesn't really care about the company, equipment or his workers.

Cheap, and you get what you pay for. Got my pride and joy bus conversion that Ive put well over 1500 hours of work into spray foamed and Im pretty disappointed. I went with Lorick because the other contractor I had booked out a month in advance screwed me over. I was just happy to have someone do it because my time frame was limited. I had to drive 3 hours round trip to Pontotoc, because he wouldnt make the trip for a small job. I arrived at 10:30 as suggested and the owner isnt even there, hes in Oxford doing something, and the employee hadnt changed over from open to closed cell so I literally stood around until 11:30 for him to start. Employee was nice but honestly he didnt do a great job. I covered all the windows myself and they came out clean. However every other surface that shouldnt have spray foam on it got sprayed. He made basically no effort to avoid overspray. My windshield, my nice air ride seat, engine compartment door, switch panel, tool box, solar combiner box, the entire floor, and outside of the bus and tire all have foam on them which I will now have to spend probably dozens of hours removing with a wire brush. In addition, the application of the foam was not at all uniform. There were areas where it stuck out a half inch past my wood furring strips and others where I could still see the metal of the bus. I also specifically asked about needing to further tape down the wires to avoid them being pushed out by the foam and he said that wouldnt be necessary as he could hold them down and spray on top. Of course, they got pushed out, and Im having to figure out a way to deal with that to get my walls up. Owner also said they dont trim the foam because you cant shave closed cell which is just a lie because it cuts with any saw or a scraper as Ive been doing all day. I think what he actually meant is that its going to be so messy that wed have to spend 3 times as long cleaning and trimming. After the job was done I was given a price by the employee above what I was quoted on the phone, and I called the owner to discuss my issues with the job and the price, and he ignored all of my calls even though he had just answered his employees call to give a price and I still havent heard back. I can only assume that hes aware of the poor quality work hes responsible for and doesnt want to address it. All in all its foamed, and will probably do a good job insulating, but its not as clean and uniform as I expected, and at the rate its going I anticipate many days of cleaning up in addition to a full day or two of trimming down the foam itself so I can get my walls and ceiling to fit flush. Can not recommend.
