I went down there to see if I could donate some winter coats to local men who could use them as my friend's husband passed away recently. I was able to give them to three men who were helping the food Bank out by cleaning up. They were very nice men but they had fallen on hard times and they were very appreciative of the coats that I donated to them. I thank them for letting me help them on behalf of my friend Marge who wanted to donate in memory of her husband. This facility which is located right behind venetians restaurant on government Street does a wonderful job in giving food away to the family soon need it preparing food for people that can come in in the morning and get them a warm cup of coffee or something to eat. They have run this mission for 40 plus years and they are an asset to our community so please please when you get a chance go down there and drop off some food in a can. Canned vegetables of any kind are always welcome or you can donate cash because I can very much use it so please be generous this Christmas and donate to the Lord is my help. I do it regularly and I am truly grateful.
