Bait and switch. Internet site states you will have breakfast overlooking the Mississippi but that is not the case. No waste basket in bedroom. Stool coming loose from floor. Strong smell of gas on parking lot side of building. A tent and chairs were left from a wedding that made it impossible to take a picture of the front of the place.. Staff had a barking dog that was not on a leash. Over-priced as we certainly did not get what we expected or paid for. We will not return unless we get a partial refund.

We had a wonderful evening and night, the place is just amazing and the views at the Mississip are gorgeos!!! Shaunda is a great person and took great care of us. Breakfast at Monmouth Historic In was just great! We recomend this place to everybody!!! Rooms: Muy bonitas Safety: Genial

When we arrived we rang the bell and after a while a young man who was "a friend" came and gave me an envelope. Ok. After some initial difficulties we went - into the right room! Then I was served straight away! 2 small bottles There was water on the microwave, one of which was already half empty!?! When I saw the bedspread on the bed, I was shocked! Totally dirty! Ok, then take the blanket down and tadaaaaa... All four pillows are full of hair! Black, lots of hair and drool stains. The bed linen was so muddy, so it was used. Really nasty, I shook with disgust! I couldn't get rid of the hair even when I patted it out. I then slept without blankets and put towels over the pillows. How Unfortunately we couldn't find anyone to talk to. The pool party was then over and there was no contact person on site. The view to the back was great. There was a large cemetery in the front. Breakfast was 3 km away, but that was good.
