        I was looking for a good place to breakup a road trip around here and stretch our legs for a bit. It was perfect for that. I had called ahead for info beforehand and followed the idea the guy gave me to get some takeout and bring it in for a picnic. We had a lovely picnic at a shaded table and then walked a bit around the area. I do wish their visitors center was open, or that the house tour was available. He said Audubon had restructured things and theyre down to only two employees now, which is a bummer. But the area is lovely if youre looking to take a pretty walk.

        Only complaint is trails werent marked very well, and they unfortunately do not allow doggos. Still a beautiful place to hike and watch nature!

        Ms Estelle Dean was beautiful and sweet and extremely informative. She was the highlight of my entire trip. The place is amazing and beautiful - and then you add the fabulous staff....love this place!
