Southern Court Apartments

Attempted to rent an apartment here. Met with the owners. When I talked to her on the phone, she said I sounded like the kind of person she wanted living there. When my girlfriend and I showed up to view the apartment as scheduled, she talked about a middle eastern tenant and made racial slurs about that tenant. She only addressed me, and barely spoke to my girlfriend, who is African-American. Afterwards, she dodged my calls about leasing. Do go here looking for housing unless you are a straight, white person. When she was just talking to me, a white person, everything was fine. But the moment we showed up to view the apartment, everything changed.

BEWARE!!! These people are the ultimate heartless scammers. Do not contract with them under any circumstances. They rip people off and contract for services that they do not pay for. In a just world they would be in jail. I give them a negative five, not the required 1 to post. Cold-hearted individuals of the nth degree. I would trust a shark or snake first. The above is true I would swear under oath. Interact with them at your own risk.

I rented from these apartments for my son's while they attended USM and my experience was a pleasant one. The apartment was newly remodeled and the owners were quick to address any issue. The proximity to the campus was great and the security gave me peace of mind. I understand they received some damage from a tornado but that should be repaired by now. I would not hesitate to rent here again.
